About Christina
I started out in photography as an exhibiting artist, expressing my observations of society and humanity in hand-printed images photographed in series. My final art series began as a project on endurance athletes and has evolved to become the basis of all my photography work: exploring the common desire to live freely, passionately and completely as expressed by the physical body and environment.
With every assignment, I seek to create a connection with the viewer based on these common passions and experiences, while allowing room for the viewers' individual interpretations. My approach to achieving this communication is to emphasize authenticity of the subject and the experience, and to photograph with a gentle style and tight composition, creating images with clean design and graphical impact.
My inspirations were developed over years of diverse living and travel experiences across the United States and throughout the UK and Europe. Although I've settled in Boulder, Colorado, cities such as New York, London, San Francisco and others I've lived in and traveled to continue to influence me even today. I love the energy, diversity and freedom of expression in a city, not to mention the contradictions that are everywhere.
These days my photography continues to evolve as I explore new ways to merge my passions for art, sport, cities and the outdoors; a fusion that I believe creates a powerful expression of passion, energy and the desire to live life completely.
